Teddy Draper, Jr., the son of a WWII Navajo "Code Talker" is a holder of many prestigious awards for his art. He is a master of pastels, oils and watercolors, sculpture and modern/traditional design Navajo jewelry.
His techniques, constantly refined over thirty years, have grown into a personal style and his interpretation and artistic vision of what he calls "them unseen colors". Living near his studio and gallery with his wife, noted jeweler Ophelia Garcia, and their two children, Tawny and Terrance on the rim of the beautiful Canyon de Chelly, Ted conducts and annual "Exquisite Excursions - A Color Exploration Workshop" and also devotes much of his time and efforts to the Chinle Youth Athletic Club, which provides supervised athletic competition as an alternative to substance abuse.
